Stampin' Up! Balloon Celebration Bundle

Stampin' Up! has produced yet another stunning Spring catalogue that I will be able to share with you from 5 January, but until then I'm only allowed to share sneak peeks.   This gorgeous bundle of  products includes the new Balloon Celebration stamp set and Balloon Bouquet punch.  They come as a bundle which makes the purchase even sweeter and it won't take up all your christmas gift money that you receive from Santa next week.

I made several of this card design to congratulate some lovely friends in my team who have recently achieved milestones or targets.  I like vibrant colours and took these from the subtles and brights colour collections.  The 'Way to Go' stamp is from the Bravo set in the annual catalogue and the scripted 'Congratulations'  is part of the new Balloon Celebration.  You'll see soon that there aren't just balloons in this set, but for the moment we're celebrating success and so balloons are just perfect.

The punch has two balloon sizes to punch and as you would expect fits nicely around two sizes of balloon stamps in the set.

Congratulations to all who are celebrating. If you'd like to know more about joining the celebration by earning your own success and rewards with my help please take a look at my 'join Stampin' Up! page' and please feel free to contact me for further information.  The new year brings lots of exciting new products and promotions so is one of the better times to join our fun, friendly team.

Christmas card club - anything goes

It's my challenge theme for Christmas Card Club and I set a very open theme of Anything Goes as we are all busy a fortnight out from Christmas.  I'm sharing a project that we made at one of my recent classes which can be stood or hung up as an alternative wreath/star.  It was fun and easy to make and took less than half a pack of the Stampin' Up! Merry Moments designer series paper stack.

To decorate the centre I stamped a wreath using the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and coordinating framelits to cut it out.  In that set of framelits there is the word Noel too which looks good cut out of gold glimmer paper.  A handful of snowflake elements (now sadly sold out) with some pie crust rhinestones added some extra seasonal sparkle.  I will share measurements and other materials in another post for anyone who wishes to have a go.

Please check out the other ladies in our challenge club and if you'd like to join us in prepping your Christmas cards and decorations throughout the year please do let me know the more the merrier.

Have a great Sunday.

A Christmas Card Challenge at Moving Along with the Times MAWTT

It is a team A challenge over at Moving Along with the Times and it is a Christmas card for someone special.  I've made this 5.5" square card for a someone special.  I've used the thick white card for my card base and then stapled a 4.5" square of Holidays Fancy Foil Designer Vellum onto the base.  The vellum is from the Stampin' Up! winter catalogue and is currently in the End of Year Sale over at Stampin' Up! which started today. It's now £6 for a pack of 9 sheets.  You can buy online in my Stampin' Up! online shop

I've added a matt layer of red foil card and then a smaller circle of whisper white card which I've embossed with the Softly Falling Textured Impressions folder.  My trio of trees are stamped in old olive ink using the annual catalogue stamp set Lots of Joy.  Bling today is in the form of silver glimmer paper Merry and pie crust rhinestones along with a little silver thread.  I've gone for wishes as I'm wishing for a special Christmas with my niece and nephews.

Do check out the DT cards over at MAWTT and why not join in our challenge. It's just for fun!

Happy Day

Welcome card

I recently had the pleasure of welcoming a new member to my South Hill Designs Jewellery Team and so I made this card for her to welcome her to our team.

It's vintage in it's style with lace, newsprint and doily and it uses one of the new stamp sets from the upcoming Spring Stampin' Up! catalogue.  Can you spot it?
Leave a comment if you can see what's new.

More soon. Zx

Christmas Card Club - The holly and the ivy

Our latest Christmas card club challenge was set by Asha, but I realise today that I have lost time again and missed our slot of last weekend, but I'm here now with my card for The Holly and The Ivy, but the ivy is on holiday as you'll realise it's not on my card!

I've used my trusty retired Stampin' Up! set Watercolour Winter to simply stamp in black Staz On ink onto kraft card.  I've coloured in the leaves and berries with mossy meadow and real red ink respectively.  A little 'smudging' to soften the edges of my piece and the the base card made with kraft corrugated paper.  I also stamped in tip top taupe, but second generation, having stamped off the small background stamp from Holly Jolly Greetings with dots and stars and I've also added some glitter using my fine tip glue pen to add just spots of glue before the glitter was sprinkled on top.

My sentiment I bought today at Horncastle's Christmas Market and it's some printed tape a bit like sellotape which is a recurring run of Merry Christmas, but I liked it for my cards.

A couple of loops around the card with gold cord and it's got my touch of bling that you know I like.

Apologies to my lovely friends at the club for my tardiness, I'll do better next weekend when I'm host and next year.  Thanks all for your patience.

Enjoy what's left of your weekend.

Hugs Zx

Stampin' Up! Sleigh Ride Edgelits for simple Christmas cards

Silent Night, Holy Night.......

A very simple card for Christmas using the Sleigh Ride edge lit dies and Jingle All the Way stamp set.

 Here's how.

  • cut a matting layer just half a centimetre or quarter of an inch smaller than your base card. I used a whisper white card and envelope so 31/4 inches x 43/4"
  • emboss that layer using the Softly Falling Textured Impressions Folder (139672) and use the deboss side
  • stamp sentiment on this layer which is curved and so will curve slightly around your circle when adhered
  • tie ribbon around the matting layer and secure layer to base card with Stampin' dimensionals
  • cut a night of navy and whisper white circle with the 2inch circle punch
  • stamp on the navy circle with craft whisper white ink using stars and moon stamps from the set above and add some rhinestones
  • using the edge lits cut the houses using the white circle. You'll miss one house off the end.
  • adhere the white house semi circle to the navy circle using dimensionals
  • adhere circle onto card again with dimensionals.
These are products that are on the retiring list for the winter catalogue so be sure to order before they are sold out or retire on 4 January.

You can see another use for the edge lits and stamps on my earlier Stampin' Up! Sleigh Ride post.
