#punchitup Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Challenge

Just a quick post to share a card I've made for the Stampin' Up! demonstrator challenge to use at least two punches on a list published on the demonstrator website.  I've used the new Sweetheart punch and the heart border punch.  I'm off to a wedding on Saturday so it's fallen at just the right time. Check out the other demos entries on pinterest at #punchitup

'PINK' Christmas Cards!!!!

Christmas Card with Stampin' Up! Festival of Trees Stamp Set

You've probably noticed my absence and therefore have guessed that life continues to be busy.  Olivia finally finished her GCSEs yesterday and now it's a waiting game for the results! She's got herself a job and so the next time she and I have our stand at the Portsmouth Sincerely Yours show she'll be able to pay for dinner instead of Mum! Well you can't blame me for hoping.

Time has whizzed by and I'm late for Christmas Card club with the challenge of pink and white with hints, but small, of silver, gold or other colour.  I hope this suits Karen our challenge hostess this fortnight.

I've stamped and embossed different trees from the popular Stampin' Up! Festival of Trees stamp set with it's coordinating tree punch. If you missed it in the winter catalogue you'll be glad to know it's now in the new annual Stampin' Up! catalogue and is still part of a bundle price giving you 15% when you buy the stamps and punch together.

My chosen shade of pink is Pink Pirouette and a tiny touch of Melon Mambo on my sentiment.  I've used the new Washi Label punch also to frame the sentiments.  The lower part of the sentiment is too long for the Window punch, but if you cut a strip of card to ever so slightly less than the width of the window you can stamp the sentiment and then slide in each end of the card on the reverse of the punch to just round the ends therefore lengthening your window.  A little bit of smudging softens the punched circle edges and those of the pink matting layer and washi strips.

I'm loving the new gold and silver thread that add some of my favourite bling without adding bulk and postage!

I'm off now to blog hop around the ladies in the Christmas Card Club so join me on the tour!

Stampin' Up! helps Ronald McDonald Houses in the UK!

Each year in the annual Stampin' Up! UK catalogue, Stampin' Up! launches a stamp set that helps the Ronald McDonald houses in the UK.  It helps because for every one of this stamp set sold, Stampin' Up! donates £2 to these houses.  At Ronald McDonald House Charities free 'home away from home' accommodation at specialist children's hospitals across the UK is provided to help families stay close to their child and maintain a degree of normal family life.

The stamp set this year is called Sprinkles of Life and the good news is that there is a punch that coordinates with it called Tree Builder making it even more attractive as a purchase!

It's a photopolymer stamp set that is so versatile and all the sentiments are perfect for the UK as well as the USA!  This image from Stampin' Up! shows just how versatile it is!

It will be available to buy and support the Ronald McDonald houses at parties, online in my shop or at classes.  Shop online in my Stampin' Up! online shop and when you spend £20 or more I'll send you a gift if you use the monthly hostess code.  June's code is  7423QEEW, just add it to your order on the shopping page in the stampin' rewards code box.  I'll send your gift on once the code closes, but your personal order ships to you shortly after you place the order.

This is a great way to help families and maybe you or your family might need this support one day so please consider buying this stamp set.  Thank you in advance for your support.

Stampin' Up! Butterfly Basics makes a great card by Stamping Scene

As well as Christmas Card Club, I'm also in a card swap group.  Each month the lovely Jane sets us a challenge and tells us who to send our card to.  It's fab as you receive a beautiful card every month and you get to know some really nice people as we all share a little about ourselves in the cards we send.  This is one I sent when the challenge was neutrals.

I've used Stampin' Up! stamp set Butterfly Basics, Crazy About You and Gorgeous Grunge.  The hello is a thin lit die from a set called Hello You which team up with the Crazy About You stamp set. It's one of those lovely bundles in the new Stampin' Up! catalogue that gives you 15% off the price when you buy the bundle.  I'm always up for a bargain so I was sold on it!

The stripes in the background are from the Typeset Specialty Designer Series paper which thankfully carried over from last year's catalogue as I love it.  It goes with any colour as well as a neutral theme like this.

Christmas Card Club - A Christmas Scene

Our challenge this fortnight was set by  Kate and she asked the Christmas Card Club ladies to make a card with a Christmas Scene.   Well  mojo left me on this one, but eventually today I've made this card and whilst I'm thrilled that I worked my Big Shot and Stampin' Up! dies to create a flip image in the middle and some depth, I'm not entirely happy with the card, but I don't want to let my fellow club members down and so here it is.  I've used the retired set Holiday Home and the matching framelits Homemade Holiday and then used marker pens and a blender pen to add colour.  I also embossed some snowflakes and stars from the set with clear embossing powder to make them 'pop' when I used the blender pen to add the sky.  Please do visit the other ladies in our club, who I know will have had lots more success with this challenge.

On a different note. Today we are celebrating our Olivia's birthday. She's sweet 16 today and we are so proud of our lovely daughter.  Bless him, Charlie, made his first ever cake for her and it wasn't a bad attempt by any means and you can see she was thrilled.

Here's wishing you a happy end to your weekend and a fun packed week ahead!

Sweet Treats decorated with Stampin' Up! lovelies!

Happy sunny morning to you all!

Regular readers will know that I've fallen in love with the Stampin' Up! stamp set By the Tide.  I experimented recently with it using the new Stampin' Up! 2015-2016 in colours and this is the result. I've made some treats which could be used as table favours or party bag gifts and they are quick easy and very effective.

All you need to do is cut a strip of card stock which is 6.5 x 2 inches.  Score on the long side at 2.75" and at 3.75".  Punch both ends of the card using either the Ornate Tag Topper or Scallop Tag Topper punches from the Stampin' Up! annual catalogue and you have your treat pouch ready to decorate. You can just see that I've used Hershey Kisses in mine, but it's really up to you!

Have a great day and I'll be back tomorrow with the latest challenge for our Christmas Card Club.
